FESTIVITY OF SAINT CRISTÒFOL

On July 10th

The Agrupació de Camioners de Pollença (Pollença Truckers' Association) celebrates, their patrón saint, Saint Cristòfol.

The celebration starts the evening before with dinner and dancing, but the actual festive activity of this occasion starts the next morning at 8.30 a.m. in the car park of l'Hort del Camí del Puig, where the lorry drivers gather.

At 8.45 a.m. the truckers usually say a prayer in front of the Convent of Sant Domingo and then the priest begins the blessing of the trucks.
 
Before the afternoon snack at the Monument restaurant, the truckers take a tour of the streets of Pollença where they will customarily honk their horns and throw sweets. They later on set off for Cala de San Vicenç and Port de Pollença to drive along the ocean road between the two districts.
 
The San Cristobal festivities end with a meal at the Monument restaurant.
